FACES Receives David Lawrence Community Service Award & $10,000

Six members of the FACES team recently traveled to Oakland, CA, to receive a prestigious David Lawrence Community Service Award from Kaiser. FACES was one of two groups honored for their excellence in international health and community service work. In addition to the award, FACES will receive a $10,000 grant from Kaiser.

"Peruvian Night at Andina" Raises $35,000 for FACES Surgical & Speech Efforts

On Monday, October 10th, FACES held a benefit auction at Portland's finest Peruvian restaurant - Andina. The event, attended by almost 70 FACES supporters, raised $35,000 for FACES surgical and speech-therapy efforts in Peru. The FACES team thanks everyone who attended and donated for their wonderful support and continued interest in the international mission

Collaborative Clean-Water-Project in San Antonio, Peru, is Complete - Bringing 825 People Clean H2O

For the past year, FACES Foundation has been working hard with two other groups - Green Empowerment and Cafe Femenino - to bring clean water to the Peruvian village of San Antonio in the northern region of the country. After many months of planning and hard work, the project is now complete! Part of the FACES team will be traveling to Peru in November/December 2011 to assess the widespread impact of the project. We are proud to say that 825 people in San Antonio now have access to clean water right in their own homes.
